The sixth episode of Agency Reporter’s virtual panel discussion series ‘Brands of Bharat’, powered by Nukkad by STAGE, went live on April 23, 2021. The latest episode is centered around the topic- Narrative building: How to connect with Tier- & Tier 3 cities in the new Bharat.

This episode features the country’s topmost marketers delving into the depths of what was it like for their respective brands to target their consumers during the pandemic, the strategies they have been experimenting with lately, and the challenges they currently face. It also sheds light on the role of content marketing in improving a brand’s performance and how content marketing platforms are offering efficient solutions for optimum results.

This episode features a diverse set of panelists, and includes Abhinav Kumar, Vice President- Marketing, Paytm; Varun Ganjoo, Marketing Director, Baazi Games, Suveer Bajaj, Co-founder, Zoo Media & FoxyMoron; Pranav Bagai, Co-Founder and CEO, Poker Sports League; Arindam Basu, Head of Marketing, Deltin and Dwaipayan Das, Associate Vice President: Marketing & Communication, N. Ranga Rao & Sons Pvt. Ltd.

The discussion was moderated by Runa Sinha, Revenue Head, Nukkad by STAGE, and Rahul Puri, Editor, Agency Reporter.

The discussion started with Suveer Bajaj sharing his insights on the key pillars that are essential for brands to create some worthy narratives. He discussed how narratives have evolved, owing to social and digital media, especially in the context of T2, T3 audiences.

Abhinav Kumar then took the stage by discussing the role as well as the evolution of content in Paytm’s marketing strategy over the years. He discusses how content remains the king even today however, it needs to be delivered smartly and be relevant as the audience of today is well-informed.

The discussion then turned towards Dwaipayan Das who talked about the proliferation of digital media and how did he as a marketer, tap the new-age consumer by molding the marketing strategies. He talks about how Cycle Pure Agarbathi has come up with innovative products in recent times in order to keep up with the dynamic market needs.

We then steered towards the importance of data in today’s time and how data-backed market research can be aligned with content marketing in the most optimum manner with insights from Suveer Bajaj & Arindam Basu. While Suveer shared his experiences on working with brands from an agency’s perspective, Arindam discussed how important it is for brands to stay on top of the trends that are taking place in the market, with respect to online trends, consumer sentiment, and emotional shifts.

With both brands belonging to the online gaming ecosystem, Varun Ganjoo and Pranav Bagai shared their experiences of targeting consumers in T2 and T3 cities during such testing times.

Towards the end of the discussion, panelists discussed the role of content marketing platforms in establishing strong bonds with the consumers. The discussion ended with the marketers discussing their expectations from content marketing platforms with respect to ROI and solutions and the success story of their respective brands.
