Pee Safe rolls out campaign #PassTheCup this Menstrual Hygiene Day

This Menstrual Hygiene Day, Pee Safe releases its new campaign #PasstheCup. The campaign is aimed to overcome this challenge and highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene using menstrual cups which are also economical and environment friendly.

Menstrual Hygiene is still a taboo in the country. A 2014 UNICEF report pointed out that in Tamil Nadu, 79% of girls and women were unaware of menstrual hygiene practices. The percentage was 66% in Uttar Pradesh, 56% in Rajasthan, and 51% in West Bengal.

Celebrities and influencers like Kritika Kamra, Krystle D’souza, Shibani Dandekar, Nusrat Jahan, Shreya Sanghi, Muskan, Lavisha Kalra, Vinni Jain, and many more were seen passing the menstrual cup to each other to help raise awareness about safe menstrual hygiene and the utility of using them.

Speaking about this, Vikas Bagaria, Founder, Pee Safe, shares, “Speaking about this, Vikas Bagaria, Founder, Pee Safe, said, “Periods are an absolutely natural phenomenon and women deserve to get access to safe and quality products during those 5 days a month. We must all collectively work towards eliminating any taboo around menstruation in India and normalize the conversation around products like menstrual pads, cups, and tampons.”
