Nielsen Highlights Pathways for India’s Creative Economy at Digital Communications and Media Forum 2025
Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data, and analytics participated in the Digital Communications and Media Forum organized by International Institute of Communications, held at India International Centre in New Delhi. Representing Nielsen, Mr. Rahul Bhuraria, Senior Vice President of Technology (Data Preparation), joined policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss the “Impact of Digital Policymaking and Regulation.”
Rahul Bhuraria was part of an esteemed panel ‘Enabling the creative economy’- alongside leaders from the animation, gaming, and digital media sectors. During the panel discussion, he spoke about India’s rapidly expanding creator economy, highlighting both its opportunities and challenges, and the pivotal role of stakeholders in realizing its full potential.
Rahul Bhuraria highlighted how the shift from linear TV to streaming is reshaping the media landscape, while traditional television continues to draw major ad spends. He outlined Nielsen’s investments to adapt to this shift, emphasized the evolving role of legacy TV, and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to equipping creators with deeper audience insights to unlock new opportunities in India’s
creative economy. The panel was moderated by Dr. Sameer Guduru, Director, Digital Economy and Strategic Technologies, USIBC, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, with speakers including Devhuti Bakshi, Director, Public Policy, E-Gaming Federation of India, and Biren Ghose, Founder & CEO, Astra Studios.
