Disney and Star India Appoint K Madhavan the new Country Manager

Madhavan will now work closely with and will be reporting to Uday Shankar, Chairman, Star and Disney India and President, APAC, The Walt Disney Company.

All the functional heads will be reporting to Madhavan.

Currently, he regulates the business ventures of Star in four states in the South and an arrangement of local channels in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

Previously, Madhavan was the Managing Director of South Business, Star India, since 2016. He is accredited to have driven the improvement and development of the whole TV market in the South zones.

The move comes after Gupta ventured down from the position to join Google as its new Country Manager and Vice President of Sales and Operations for India a month ago.
