Anurag Gupta, CEO, SVG Media Passes Away

This comes in as a shock to the Indian Digital Media Industry, with stalwarts and leaders mourning his untimely demise. 

Anurag Gupta, CEO, SVG Media, a part of Dentsu Aegis Network has passed away of sudden cardiac arrest in Delhi on Sunday morning. This comes in as a shock to the Indian Digital Media Industry, with stalwarts and leaders mourning his untimely demise. 

“It’s an absolute shock and a deep loss. Not only was he the CEO of SVG but was also a Digital Council Member. It is a loss for SVG, for DAN and for the entire Digital fraternity at large. A wonderful colleague. At this hour, my heart, sympathies and condolences go out to his family and loved ones,” Ashish Bhasin, CEO Greater South, Dentsu Aegis Network and Chairman & CEO India has said in his statement.

Gupta had over 20 years of experience across diverse industries – FMCG, Office Automation, Stock Broking, and Media & Internet. 

He has been in the Internet space for over 10 years. He was handling business for SVG Media that has leading brands like DGM, SeventyNine, Komli and SVG Mobile.

Prior to this he concluded an MBO of DGM India along with SVG Media. Anurag has led the charge in scaling up DGM India to be one of India’s largest online performance marketing companies in India. 

Prior to DGM, Anurag has also been associated with one of India’s largest Internet entity – Indiatimes.com for 4 years where he was instrumental in creating and heading the Subscriptions business.
