HT Media Group announces leadership changes for sustained growth, innovation

HT Media Group has announced key leadership transitions in line with its commitment to sustained growth in operational strategies and nurturing talent within the organization.

Rajeev Beotra, Executive Director of the Group, said, “These leadership changes reflect HT Media Group’s commitment to sustainable growth and market leadership through continuous innovation. We believe in nurturing internal talent and acknowledging deserving achievements, as they bring invaluable insights and understanding of our audiences and stakeholders, powering us to continually evolve with their changing needs. I am confident that with this restructuring, we will continue to steer our business towards an even brighter and more successful future.”

Ahijit Dutta, the current National Circulation Head for the Print Business, is transitioning to a new role within the organization. He has spent 19 years with the Group and held leadership roles including National Sales Head at Mint and Hindustan, Head of HT Overseas in Singapore, and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) West and South. He brings 38 years of experience in organized retail and media sectors, including stints at Bata and ABP.

Indra Narayan Das, formerly Chief Revenue Officer for North 2, will succeed Ahijit Dutta as National Circulation Head. Indra joined the Group as Business Head for the Bihar region in 2016 and brings over 19 years of cross-industry experience across companies like Samsung, Johnson & Johnson and Nokia.

Swati Sharda will take over from Indra Narayan Das as CRO for the North 2 & East regions. Sharda joined the Group in 2014, overseeing departments such as marketing, solutions, events, and circulation for nearly five years at Mint. In 2018, she took on the role of Business Head of IPR & Alliances across brands. In February 2021, she joined back as the Head of Government Business and took over the events business last year. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare and media, and specializes in sales, marketing, solutions, circulation, PR, and operations. She has worked with Fortis Healthcare, Nova Medical, and the NSDC (under the aegis of Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship).

Vijay Nair takes over from Swati Sharda as Head of Events. Vijay is currently the VP & Head of Marketing at Shine.com, India’s leading online job and recruitment portal owned by the Group. He joined in December 2021 and has worked in senior leadership roles with companies like Walt Disney and National Geographic in the past.

Jaideep Dahiya, currently the Head of Ad Operations & Pricing, is promoted to CRO for the West region. He brings in over 25 years of experience with a foundation in sales, operations, marketing, and business management across FMCG and IT companies like Marico and HP. He has been associated with the Group for over 12 years in various roles.

Roopali Dhawan, currently leading the school edition – PACE, will now head the Ad Operations division. Prior to joining the Group 14 years back, she has worked in domestic and international roles across organizations including Bennett and Coleman, Radio Mirchi, and Bloomberg UTV.
