Digeratie designs an engagement campaign for #StarTrek Day for Arena Animation

Digeratie, has conceptualized and designed an engagement campaign for #StarTrek Day for Arena Animation, India’s pioneer media and entertainment training institute.

The Star Trek series has captured the imagination of successive generations across 5 decades – making Captains Kirk & Picard, Spock, Wiliam Riker, Dr. McCoy, all popular names across the world.

The series is also known for introducing the “Teleportation” device to viewers, which was an early attempt at creating visual effects on film. That and the “warp speed effect” were the earliest and well-known special effects that improved as the series progressed and new technology was adopted across the years. In later years, with the growing popularity of the series and the rise of video games, it was not long before game developers sought inspiration from the Star Trek storyline. At last count there were more than 125 games inspired from or based on the series.

Star Trek is a series that has fired the imagination of children and adults alike; Captivating them with the leadership ideals of the Captains, filled them with awe at being energized on the transporter or simply made them an amateur toy inventor of “Star Trek Communicators.”

The campaign is created in 4 parts with an introductory video and an engaging quiz format, along with Trivia from the series and finally an interactive post on leadership lessons from Captian Kirk.

Commenting on the campaign, Tirtha Shetty of Digeratie said, “Star Trek day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the effort and hard work that talented animation and visual effects crew members put in, to a series like this. There is a magic about the series that words can’t express. Each one of our team members was absolutely delighted to be able to bring alive this campaign and make this celebration possible.”
